“Much Ado About Nothing” is one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. It continues to charm modern audiences with its wit, humor, and social commentary on loyalty, love, gender roles, and power.

This production will use Shakespeare\'s original, classic language, but will be set in 1980’s Wall Street, New York City, where the town of Messina becomes Messina, Inc.

Inspired by the workplace films of the era like “Working Girl,” “Wall Street,” “9 to 5,” “Baby Boom,” and as the 1980s were responsible for a seismic shift for women in the workplace, setting the play in this period underscores Shakespeare’s existing themes in the play text for a fresh, exciting, and modern production of “Much Ado About Nothing”.
