Audition Notice: Lionheart Theatre Company will hold open Auditions for The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash, Directed by Joanie McElroy

Auditions: 10 College St Norcross, GA 30071
June 10 at 2pm and June 11 at 7pm
If necessary, callbacks will be held June 13.

Production dates are September 7-23, 2018 .

The Curry family lives on a cattle ranch in West Texas around the turn of the 20th century; there is a severe drought which is threatening their once lucrative livelihood. Lionheart is looking for six males and one female.
Character descriptions are as follows:

H.C. Curry - patriarch of the family; widowed; concerned about the fate of his ranch and his family

Noah Curry - older son; sensible, at times skeptical; keeper of the accounts

Jim Curry - younger son; full of life; tends to get carried away

Lizzie Curry - only daughter; intelligent, witty, practical; can be a bit of a romantic although she is starting to think she\'ll never find love; has assumed matriarch role of the family, most of whom would like to see her married

File - deputy sheriff; secretly in love with Lizzie; somewhat shy ways

Sheriff - middle aged; sensible sheriff type; comic relief

Starbuck - charismatic and charming \"snake-oil salesman\"; promises to bring rain for $100; helps Lizzie discover her true beauty

Auditions will consist of a one to two-minute monologue. Please come prepared with a resume and headshot if available (but not necessary; audition forms will be at the theatre).
