Ticket Services


AtlanTIX Half~Price Ticket Booths
AtlanTIX is the largest single earned income resource for the nonprofit performing arts industry of Georgia. A significant audience development/marketing tool, one-third of customers are visitors to greater Atlanta.  As of April 2008, AtlanTIX has sold over 133,000 half-price tickets, and generated over $1,800,000 in ticket sales revenue for organizations.  Over 13,600 patrons are AtlanTIX email group members.  The Southeast’s first half-price ticket booth opened in 1998 in the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Underground Atlanta visitors center. The second booth opened in 2005 in Lenox Square mall.

Online Advance Discount Tickets
Available on www.GeorgiaPerforms.com, performing arts consumers can purchase discount tickets in advance.  All sales end 24 hours prior to the performance or event.

Gift Tix Certificates
These $25 gift certificates are redeemable at 70+ participating member organizations for ticket purchases, classes and merchandise.  Organizations are reimbursed 100% of each redeemed Gift Tix.

The consumer gateway to greater Atlanta’s performing arts scene features a comprehensive show calendar, directory of 170+ member companies, Stage Stories podcast, special event listings and much more.  New features such as RSS feeds, show reviews and more are coming in Summer of 2007 when a re-designed AtlantaPerforms.com is launched.

This website is home to advance-purchase of discount tickets, news on the annual Georgia Arts & Entertainment Legacy Awards ~ (GAELAs) and Georgia Open Arts Festival (GO Arts). GeorgiaPerforms.com also serves to promote the performing arts and reflect the true geographic breadth of our membership.

Generation Arts E-News
This biweekly broadcast email is designed to engage youth and families in arts & cultural activities, with news on shows, workshops, tours, special events, classes and other programs & activities.

Stage Stories Podcast
Our weekly broadcast features tales of life in ‘the biz’ from the people who bring the performing arts to life in greater Atlanta.  Stage Stories is available as a podcast or by listening directly from AtlantaPerforms.com.  Our podcast was the first such broadcast in North America to be produced by a performing arts service organization.


Publications & Special Events

Atlanta ShowGuide Magazine
ACPA and publishing company Lighthouse Communications collaborate on the print publication Atlanta ShowGuide.  This free, bimonthly ‘playbill’ sized magazine features articles on people and companies in greater Atlanta’s performing arts scene and, of course, comprehensive show listings.  Atlanta ShowGuide can be found at performing arts venues, AtlanTIX locations, and a variety of retail establishments.

GO ARTS Month ~ Georgia Open Arts Month
The first annual GO ARTS event took place October 19 ~ 29, 2006.  Now the entire month of October, this event is ACPA’s celebration of October's National Arts & Humanities Month.  GO ARTS provides a marketing umbrella for discounted or free performances and other arts & cultural activities, and works to encourage people to GO experience the ARTS.  National Free Night of Theater is a featured event during GO ARTS Month.

National Free Night of Theater
This annual Theatre Communication Group (TCG) national initiative is an audience development program designed to attract new audiences to America’s not-for-profit theatres. Since its debut in 2005, Free Night has increased in scope and participation each year.  In 2006, ACPA was invited to manage greater Atlanta’s participation in the national program.  Free Night of Theater 2008 kicks off Thursday, October 16 and, in Atlanta/Georgia will run through October 31.

The GAELAs ~ Georgia Arts & Entertainment Legacy Awards
Each fall, the Georgia Arts & Entertainment Legacy Awards shine a special spotlight on the people whose achievements have strengthened the fabric and reputation of Georgia's cultural legacy.  The GAELA Award itself is an elegant, crystal letter creation of world-renown Fräbel Glass Art Studio & Galleries.


Industry-Focused Services

AtlantaPerforms.BIZ
Our industry-focused website is greater Atlanta’s premiere resource for information on auditions, jobs, classes, other opportunities.  Other features include searchable directories with profiles of member organizations, performers, production and administrative personnel, and other individuals in ‘the biz.’  Members can take part in a variety of online discussion communities, plus useful resource and information links are provided.

Unified Auditions & Designer Showcase
This collaborative annual event traditionally takes place in March, and benefits performing arts companies, performers, and designers.  Approximately 60 companies see over 230 performers audition during this two day event.  The Designer Showcase is a trade show of sorts where artistic staff see and discuss work samples with area designers. Member Discounts
With the ACPA MemberCard, members receive free or discount offers for tickets, classes and more from ACPA member organizations. Ticket offers are posted on AtlantaPerforms.BIZ

Stephen Petty Memorial Fund
This important fund provides emergency cash assistance for people in the performing arts living with life threatening or debilitating illness, or suffering severe financial hardship due to illness or injury.  As of March 2007, the fund has awarded over $20,000 in assistance to those in need.

Resource Referrals
ACPA is pleased to offer referrals to resources for healthcare options, legal services, competitive insurance rates for liability and worker’s comp insurance, and a variety of organization volunteer needs – from ushers, to marketing and tech expertise, to board development.

Fractured Atlas
A collaborative partnership between ACPA and Fractured Atlas allows ACPA members to join Fractured Atlas as an Associate Member at no cost. Fractured Atlas is a national service organization providing artists and arts organizations access to funding opportunities, healthcare, education and more.


External Relations

Representative/Liaison
Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts maintains relationships and/or memberships with local, regional and national organizations, acting as liaison for greater Atlanta’s performing arts industry to the public and private sectors, and national arts industry.  ACPA is a leading member of the Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations.

Advocate
Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts provides leadership with vision in advocating and promoting the arts as a vital industry, identifying key issues, developing strategies, and implementing initiatives which address common concerns.  A unified voice for the performing arts industry, the Coalition works to build relationships and forge partnerships with government, business, media and the community to enhance the stature of the arts in our society.

Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts (ACPA) is the nonprofit service organization working to support and promote greater Atlanta's theatre, dance, music and film arts. ACPA was founded in 1984 by arts leaders from across the region, to connect the performing arts field both as a community, and an industry.
