Kati Grace Morton

Kati Grace Morton ("KG") moved to Atlanta in August of 2007 to join the apprentice company at the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern. While there you may have seen her as Lady Blanche in the Southeastern premiere of King John, dancing as "Rosaline" in Romeo and Juliet, or maybe just operating the front bar or house managing.

Since the completion of her apprenticeship, KG has played Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing at the Tavern, appeared as the torch singer for Big City Burlesque and Vaudeville, played Daisy in Bat Boy with Fabrefaction Theatre Company, and has had the amazing opportunity to tour with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre.

As an educator with the Tavern, KG has directed "Shakespeare and Love" with 4th-5th graders at Glennwood Elementary School in Decatur, co-directed Taming of the Shrew with 9th-12th graders at Woodward Academy, and acted as the production assistant for the Tavern's first ever Atlanta Public School residency at Therrell High School.

Next up, you can see KG playing Iris in The Tempest at the Tavern during the month of May and then playing Gina in Next of Kin with Onion Man Productions in June.

Prior to moving to Atlanta, KG completed apprenticeships at Flat Rock Playhouse, the state theatre of North Carolina (Summer 2006) and the historic Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. (Summers 2004 and 5)
